The one fixed price

Wasp nest removal is £90, fixed. No call-out fee, no charge for working at height, no charge for awkward access, seven days a week.
It is the only service on this site with a published figure, for a simple reason: it is the only one that is genuinely the same job every time. One nest, one visit, done. Everything else varies with the building.
Worth knowing: the price is the same in June and in September, but the job is not. An early nest is small, low-risk and quick. The same nest in late summer holds thousands of wasps and is a great deal more dangerous to be near. Ringing early costs you nothing extra and it is materially safer.
Why the rest are quoted
The Building Decides
A mouse problem in a one-bedroom flat and a mouse problem in a four-bedroom detached with an integral garage are not the same amount of work, and quoting a single figure for both would mean overcharging one of you.
What actually moves the number:
- The size and type of building. Rooms, floors, outbuildings, whether there is a cellar, whether the roof is reachable from a ladder.
- How far it has gone. Early is cheaper, and that is not a sales line - it is fewer visits and less material.
- Whether proofing is included. The quote separates treatment from proofing so you can see the two parts. Proofing costs more up front and it is the part that stops you paying again.
- Access. Work well beyond ladder height or needing a tower is agreed beforehand, never added afterwards.
What does not move it: where in the county you are. There is no travel charge and no zone pricing.

The Parts You Do Not Pay For
The quote is free. So is coming out to look, and so is the conversation where we tell you it is a bumblebee nest that will be gone by September and you do not need us.
Evenings and weekends are not a surcharge. Early evening and weekend appointments are available at no extra cost.
The guarantee is included. If it is still active after the treatment has had time to work, we come back and there is no second call-out fee.
Being straight about cheap
The Thing Price Comparison Misses
It is easy to compare two prices for "a mouse treatment" and hard to compare what is in them. A cheaper visit that puts bait down and leaves is genuinely cheaper, and if nobody has looked at how they are getting in you will be booking it again.
So when you are comparing quotes, the questions worth asking anybody - us included - are: does that include finding and closing the entry point, how many visits is that, and what does the guarantee actually say.
We would rather lose a job to a fair comparison than win one that comes back.
