Mice Control in Kent
A mouse gets through a gap the width of a pencil, so the entry point is nearly always smaller than people expect.
Signs
How To Tell It Is Mice
Droppings again, but smaller than a rat's - closer to a grain of rice cut in half, dark, and often found in a cupboard, behind an appliance or along the back of a worktop rather than out in the open. A gnawed corner on cardboard packaging, a chewed cable, or shredded insulation pulled into a corner of the loft to make a nest are all typical. Mice are less shy about daylight than rats, so a sighting during the day is not unusual and is not on its own a sign of a large infestation.
Smell matters here more than with most pests - a persistent, slightly sweet, ammonia-like smell in a cupboard or behind an appliance is often mice before anything else turns up.
Every visit
What Every Visit Includes, Whichever Service
Free quotes, no call-out fee, and evening and weekend appointments at no extra cost. Same-day where we can, next-day for most things. Every technician is fully trained and insured, and the team has been doing this across Kent for over ten years.
Every job is guaranteed: if the problem is still active after the treatment has had time to work, we come back and there is no second call-out fee. It does not cover a new infestation arriving from a source nobody has closed.
The job
What The Treatment Involves
Because the entry gap can be genuinely tiny, the survey pays close attention to service penetrations - where a pipe or a cable goes through a wall - as well as the obvious places like airbricks and gaps under doors. Bait and trapping are used together in most kitchens, since bait alone in a room where food is prepared is rarely the whole answer.
Proofing is not optional here in the way it can feel optional with a larger pest - a mouse only needs to find the gap once, and a kitchen with an unclosed service penetration behind the cupboards will see the same problem again within weeks of a treatment that does not also close it.

How much is mice control?
From £260. The figure depends on how many rooms are involved and how much proofing is needed, and it is agreed before any work starts.
How do I know it is mice and not rats?
Size is the quickest tell - mice droppings are roughly half the size of a rat’s, and mice are far more willing to be seen during the day. Describe what you have found and we can usually say which before we arrive.
One mouse or an infestation?
Mice breed quickly, so one seen today is rarely the only one. The survey tells you what you are actually dealing with rather than guessing from a single sighting.
Will they come back after treatment?
Not if the entry points are closed, which is why proofing is part of the job rather than an optional extra on this particular pest.
Is bait safe with pets and children?
The products are safe when applied correctly, and, where there are children or pets on site, bait is used in tamper-resistant stations. Say so when you book.
One Last Thing
Mice are one of the few jobs where the entry point is genuinely easy to miss, which is why the survey is as much about the building as the mouse. Ring and describe what you have seen and we will tell you honestly what it sounds like before anyone comes out.
