A trail of ants running along the join between a skirting board and a wooden floor

Most people ring us because something has appeared where it should not be — a trail of ants across the kitchen floor, scratching in the loft at night, bites that were not there yesterday, or droppings behind the units. Whatever it is, describe it in your own words. You do not need to know the species before you call, and you will not be talked into a contract you do not need.

If you would rather write it down, fill in the form below with your postcode and a short description of what you are seeing. We will come back to you with a time and a price.

How It Works

What Happens When You Call

A gloved technician applying a bead of gel bait along the join between a kitchen unit and the floor

You describe what you have seen and where. We ask a few questions — how long it has been going on, whether there are children or pets in the house, whether anyone has tried anything already — and from that we can usually tell you what you are dealing with and what it will cost before we put the phone down.

The technician who arrives surveys first rather than treating on sight. Where something is getting in matters as much as what is already inside: a mouse treatment that ignores the gap behind the boiler pipe is a treatment you will be paying for again in three months. You are told what was found, what was used and what happens next, and where a follow-up visit is part of the job it is quoted as part of the job, not added later.

Emergency Call-Outs

Same-Day & Emergency Pest Control

A flea on a pale carpet pile surrounded by flea dirt and eggs

Some things genuinely cannot wait until next week. Wasps getting into a bedroom. A rat seen in a kitchen where food is prepared. Bites appearing on a child overnight. A nest by a nursery door or a customer entrance. Fleas in a house that has just been moved into. If that is where you are, ring rather than filling in the form — the phone gets you a technician, the form gets you a reply.

We are a local Kent team, so an emergency call is answered by someone already in the county rather than dispatched from the other side of the country. If we cannot get to you today we will say so on the call rather than leaving you waiting.

The Pests We Deal With Most In Kent

A gloved technician treating the carpet along the base of a sofa with a hand sprayer

Those nine cover the overwhelming majority of what we are called out to, but the list is not a limit — if it is a pest and it is in Kent, ask. Rodents and wasps dominate the calls, though the pattern moves with the season: wasps from midsummer, rats and mice as the weather turns, fleas after a house has stood empty, moths and carpet beetle wherever there is wool.

Some of these need one visit and some need a programme. Bed bugs and fleas almost always need more than one, because no treatment kills eggs that have not hatched yet. Anyone promising a single visit for either is quoting you for a job they will have to come back and finish.

Not Sure What It Is?

Send Us A Photo Before You Ring

Identification is the part people get wrong most often, and it changes everything about the treatment. Carpet moths and clothes moths are dealt with differently from pantry moths. Flea bites, bed bug bites and a skin reaction to something else look similar on the arm and are nothing alike in the house. Flying ants in July are not termites. What is in your loft may be mice, rats, squirrels or nesting birds, and the four are not the same job.

So take a photo from a safe distance and send it on WhatsApp. We will tell you what you have got, whether it needs treating at all, and what it costs if it does. If it turns out to be something you can sort yourself, we would rather say so than sell you a visit.

Safe Treatments

Around Children, Pets And Food

A sealed bait station on a tiled floor against a skirting board with ants around it

"Pet and family friendly" means the products are chosen and placed so that people and animals are not exposed to them — not that anything is harmless. Baits go in sealed, tamper-resistant stations rather than loose in a corner. Sprays are applied to harbourage and runs rather than open surfaces, and you are told how long to stay off a treated area.

Tell us at the booking if anyone in the house is pregnant or has a respiratory condition, if there are babies crawling, or if you keep fish, birds, reptiles or bees — fish tanks in particular need covering and their pumps turning off during some treatments. Food businesses get the treatment planned around your hours and the paperwork your inspector will ask for.

Preparing For The Visit

Before We Arrive

Gloved hands parting a dog's fur to check the skin underneath

Nothing elaborate, and we will tell you exactly what applies to your job when you book. In general: leave what you have found alone rather than spraying it or moving it, since disturbing a nest or a harbourage scatters the problem and makes treatment harder. Do not block a wasp nest entrance. Do not throw out an infested mattress before it has been looked at — moving it through the house is how bed bugs reach the next room.

For fleas, vacuum thoroughly and empty the cylinder outside, and make sure your pets have current treatment from your vet — treating the house while the animal is still carrying them gets you nowhere. For rodents, clear the food that is feeding them. For bed bugs, keep clothing and bedding in sealed bags rather than carrying it about the house.

Who We Work For

Homes, Businesses, Landlords And Agents

A technician treating the base of a kitchen unit with a pressure sprayer

Roughly half our work is domestic and half is not. We work for pubs, restaurants, cafés, shops, warehouses, schools, nurseries, care homes, offices, farms and industrial units across Kent, with unmarked vehicles, out-of-hours visits where that suits you better, and the documentation your auditor or environmental health officer will want to see.

Landlords and letting agents: we can deal directly with your tenant, arrange access ourselves and report back to you, which is usually faster than passing messages in both directions. If a tenancy dispute turns on who caused an infestation, we will tell you what the evidence at the property actually shows rather than what either side would prefer to hear.

Before You Call — Quick Answers

How quickly can you come out?

Most jobs in Kent are done the same day or the next day, and we run later in the evenings through the busy months. If it is urgent — wasps inside the house, a rat where food is prepared, bites on a child — say so on the call and we will prioritise it. If we cannot reach you today we will tell you on the phone rather than leaving you waiting in.

What will it cost?

You get a fixed price for the job before we book it, and that is what you pay — no call-out fee added afterwards, no charge for awkward access. The price depends on the pest and the size of the problem, which is why we ask questions on the phone rather than publishing one number for everything. Ring or send a photo and you will have a figure in a couple of minutes.

Do I need to be there?

For most treatments yes, at least to let us in and to be told what has been done and what to do afterwards. For tenanted properties we can arrange access with your tenant directly and report back to you. For commercial premises we can work out of hours.

Is one visit enough?

Depends entirely on the pest. Wasp nests are usually one. Rodents normally need a follow-up to check the bait and confirm the entry points are closed. Bed bugs and fleas essentially always need more than one visit, because nothing on the market kills eggs that have not hatched yet — anyone promising a single visit for either is quoting for a job they will have to come back and finish. Whatever it needs is quoted up front, not added later.

Is it safe around children and pets?

The products are professional insecticides and rodenticides applied by qualified technicians, chosen and placed so that people and animals are not exposed to them — baits in sealed tamper-resistant stations, sprays into harbourage rather than open surfaces. You will be told how long to keep off a treated area. Mention it at the booking if anyone is pregnant or has a respiratory condition, if there are crawling babies, or if you keep fish, birds, reptiles or bees.

What if it turns out to be bees?

Then we will say so. Honey bees are not something we want to destroy and a swarm can usually be collected free by a local beekeeper — we will point you in the right direction. Bumblebees are docile, rarely a problem and the nest dies off naturally by the end of the summer, so the honest answer is very often to leave them alone.

Do you cover my part of Kent?

We cover the whole county, from the Medway towns and Dartford across to Canterbury, Thanet, Dover and Folkestone, and down through Maidstone, Ashford, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells to the Sussex border. There is no travel charge and no different pricing depending on distance. If in doubt, put your postcode in the form and ask.
